SCF is a partner of the Hospital. Our teams source medical equipment and other items for the hospital. SCF has built a database of Simbu professionals who donate their expertise free of charge to the Hospital. The Hospital recently called a biomedical engineer to go up and fix their medical equipments. When he attended to the Paediatric Ward’s equipment, he provided the service for free and advised the hospital management that it was his service to Simbu as a SCF volunteer. SCF wishes to thank Nick Tagep for his service to fixing the Children’s Ward equipment. Dominic Kaupa a Industrial Electrician, while on leave in Kundiawa checked the new hospital generator and found and fixed errors in the lines which occurred during installation.
Recently SCF funded the first couple of weeks special dietary requirements and I.V. packs for the Osteomyelitis patients at the Hospital. SCF funds the special dietary requirements for children attending the Prevention of Parent to Child Transmission of HIV clinic at the Hospital. SCF also covers the cost of return bus fares for the affected mothers to travel from their villages to Kundiawa town to attend hospital appointments.
Merrilyn a SCF volunteer has also personally and quietly sponsored the nutrition program for children who have been identified by Doctors at the Hospital as malnourished.
The Hospital kindly provides space for Jimmy Drekore (SCF President) and Francis Nii (SCF Administrator) for SCF work.
